Product Overview
The Siemens LFS1.2 Burner Flame Sensor & Detector is a high-performance flame safeguard device designed for continuous monitoring of gas and oil burner flames in industrial combustion systems. It is widely used in industrial burners, boilers, and furnaces where reliable flame detection is critical for operational safety.
The LFS1.2 monitors burner flame signals through ionization probes or UV flame detectors such as QRA2, QRA4, and QRA10. These sensors provide accurate flame detection and ensure immediate shutdown of the burner system if flame failure occurs.
This flame safeguard unit is commonly integrated with burner control systems such as LEC1, LME39 burner controllers, or programmable logic controllers (PLC), allowing it to function within modern industrial burner automation systems.
The LFS1 series is designed for industrial safety applications up to SIL3 safety level, making it suitable for high-reliability combustion installations including industrial heating plants and marine burner systems.
Its compact design, robust industrial construction, and diagnostic features make the LFS1.2 an ideal solution for OEM burner manufacturers and industrial combustion system integrators.

Technical Description
The Siemens LFS1.2 Flame Sensor & Detector is a flame safeguard unit designed for the supervision of gas and oil burner flames in industrial combustion systems. Flame detection is achieved using ionization probes or UV flame detectors, allowing accurate monitoring of burner flame conditions.
The system continuously monitors the flame signal and transmits the signal to the burner control system. If the flame signal is lost during burner operation, the control system initiates an immediate safety shutdown to prevent unsafe combustion conditions.
The LFS1.2 can be integrated with Siemens burner control units such as LEC1, LME39 series controllers, or programmable logic controllers, enabling flexible implementation in industrial burner management systems.
Advanced diagnostic features include analog flame signal output (0–10 V) and LED indication for easy monitoring during burner operation.
