Product Overview
The Siemens QG020 (QGO20) Oxygen Sensor is designed for measuring the residual oxygen (O₂) level in flue gases produced by combustion systems that burn natural gas or light fuel oil. The sensor works together with burner management systems to monitor and optimize the combustion process.
By continuously measuring the oxygen concentration in exhaust gases, the sensor allows the burner control system to adjust the air-to-fuel ratio, improving combustion efficiency and minimizing fuel consumption.
The QG020 sensor is commonly integrated with Siemens burner management systems such as the LMV series controllers, where it is used for residual oxygen control and combustion optimization.
This sensor is suitable for use in industrial boilers, furnaces, and heat-generation plants, where accurate flue-gas oxygen measurement is required to maintain safe and efficient burner operation. It can operate in environments where flue-gas temperatures reach up to approximately 300 °C at the measuring point.

Technical Description
The Siemens QG020 oxygen sensor measures the residual oxygen concentration in flue gases generated during combustion. The sensor transmits this information to the burner management system, which uses it to optimize the combustion process and maintain efficient operation.
When integrated with Siemens combustion controllers such as LMV52 or LMV5 series systems, the oxygen sensor enables automatic adjustment of the air-fuel ratio. This helps reduce excess oxygen in the exhaust gas, resulting in better fuel efficiency and lower emissions.
The sensor can measure oxygen levels typically within a 0–21% O₂ range, providing accurate monitoring of combustion conditions in industrial boilers and burners.
For installation, the sensor is usually mounted directly in the flue gas duct or exhaust pipe, where it continuously monitors the oxygen concentration of combustion gases.
