The Suntec AT2 Oil Pump is a two-mode pressure oil burner pump designed for burners that operate at two firing rates using a single nozzle line. It incorporates an integrated blocking solenoid valve for in-line cut-off and a second solenoid valve to switch between low and high pressure modes.

Inside the pump, a precision gear set draws fuel oil from the tank through a built-in filter and transfers it to the nozzle line. Fuel pressure is controlled by two pressure regulating spool valves, each responsible for one pressure level.

When the pressure-switching solenoid is not energized, the pump operates in low-pressure mode through the bypass channel. When the solenoid is energized, the bypass closes and the high-pressure regulator determines the nozzle pressure, enabling high-fire burner operation.

The AT2 pump supports domestic heating oil, kerosene, HVO, and biofuel blends, making it suitable for modern industrial and commercial heating systems.

Technical Description

The Suntec AT2 Oil Pump operates using a gear mechanism driven by the burner motor. The gear set draws oil from the tank through the internal filter and transfers it to the burner nozzle line through the normally closed blocking solenoid valve.

Fuel pressure is regulated by two spool regulating valves, one for low pressure and one for high pressure. Switching between these modes is controlled by a normally-open bypass solenoid valve. When the bypass is open, the pump operates in low-pressure mode. When the solenoid is energized, the bypass closes and the high-pressure regulator controls the fuel pressure delivered to the nozzle.

The design ensures fast response time, stable pressure regulation, and safe burner shutdown, independent of burner motor speed.
