The Suntec ATUV Oil Pump is specially developed for the replacement and service market, allowing technicians to replace many standard two-stage burner pumps with a single universal model. It can replace several pump types including Suntec AT245, ATE245, AT255, and ATE255 series pumps, typically used with burner nozzles up to 5 GPH.

The pump incorporates a blocking solenoid valve fitted with a built-in return valve, providing an in-line fuel cut-off function and nozzle line pressure relief to improve burner safety and operational reliability.

A gear-driven pumping mechanism draws oil from the storage tank through a built-in filter and transfers it to the burner nozzle line. Fuel pressure is controlled by two pressure regulating spool valves, enabling the pump to operate in low-pressure and high-pressure modes for burners with two firing rates.

The ATUV pump supports fuels such as domestic heating oil, kerosene, HVO biofuel, and B30 biofuel blends, making it suitable for modern industrial heating systems.

Technical Description

The Suntec ATUV Oil Pump uses a gear set driven by the burner motor to draw oil from the tank through an integrated filter and deliver it to the nozzle line via a normally closed blocking solenoid valve.

Fuel pressure is regulated by two spool pressure regulators, one for each pressure level. Switching between low and high pressure modes is handled by a normally open bypass solenoid valve. When the solenoid is not energized, the bypass channel remains open and the pump operates in low-pressure mode. When the solenoid is activated, the bypass closes and the high-pressure regulator determines the nozzle pressure.

The pump also includes a nozzle line pressure relief system that releases excess pressure caused by thermal expansion of fuel, ensuring safe burner operation and protecting system components.
